Picasa is a useful free photographing app. It works in many ways – for the management and editing of digital photographs as an image organiser and spectator. It is easy to access and target beginners using photo editing software from Picasa to improve photographs, clear red-eye and accurate contrast and colour. It is still available for free, although discontinued.

Picasa can also be downloaded and used offline, but it is deprecated now. In 2002, Picasa was founded by Lifescape. Google bought Picasa in July 2004 and started to sell it as freeware. However, in February 2016 Google announced that Picasa Desktop and mobile albums would no longer be supported. The companion service Picasa Web Albums was shut down in May 2016.

However, Picasa remains accessible and works everywhere it’s already built. It is entirely Windows 10 compliant, but no new changes will be made. However, Picasa’s app is not working online anymore so that you cannot add or synchronise albums or photographs. Mac also contains Picassa.

In turn, Google recommends that you create galleries for your Google Images programme, upload photos, edit photos and scan for photographs.

Other alternatives to Picasa are also available. Fotobounce does a good job for a basic photo organiser, but the interface is not really user friendly. FastStone Image Viewer is both an image viewer and an editor, but it does not have the highest editing capability for Picasa. The Ribbet Photo Editor offers responsive, cross platform photo editing services.

IrfanView makes it possible to robustly view photographs and edit (and edit batch) files. The file organiser, monitor and image editor software is ACDSee.

Adobe Photoshop is one of the most sophisticated and successful photo editors in the world for those looking for more efficient photo editing. In the meantime, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is easier to use, but still has specialised equipment.

The Windows installer makes downloading and installing Picasa fast. Upon loading the software, you can either look through My Documents, My Pictures and the Screen, or browse the entire machine, by selecting where Picasa imports images from your PC.

You will opt-in to view images directly from Windows Explorer using Picasa Photo Viewers at this time. Viewing files such as..jpg,.bmp,.gif,.png,.tga and.TIFF,.webp and.raw extensions through be opened by the viewer.

Picasa also allows you to choose your drive and files to search and allows you to sync any time you open the app automatically. You don’t need to upload new images manually.

If you have added your images to Picasa, they are sorted into collections that are stored in folders that have the same titles. You can easily drag and drop images and reorganise from one spot to another.

Picasa also allows you to apply tags to your images so that you can quickly filter them, like where the photographs were taken (although this has to be inputted manually nowadays). The people in the pictures can even be tagged to make them easier to identify.

The gui for Picasa is very simple and looks pretty boxy now. You can quickly switch between Library View and Edit View how images are viewed (found under the View menu). The gui tabs distinguish various library and import projects.

Picasa is not an expert in editing applications, but it gives an interesting range of features that can be used either image by image, side by side, or batches to make fundamental edits. Improvements include cropping, straightening, automatic light adjustment, hue and contrast, improved sharpness and red-eye correction.

Pleasant and helpful image editing options can also be used to apply filters. There are several fun filters, all completely customizable and our images are really cool.

Picasa can be used incredibly quickly to edit images tooltips, whereas complete instructions are illustrated in the toolbox on the left of the screen in case of a more sophisticated tool, such as red-eye removal and retouch. It should be a little breeze for beginners to create enhanced images.

Other tools are included in Picasa to help you make posters, collages, screensavers and videos for your images. You can also create a Gift CD by choosing images and brulating them on a compact disc with a disc burner in a node after the era of the Picasa software.

When making innovative ventures, we enjoyed the intuitive versatility of Picasa. The software is straight forward and we were able to easily compile a recording, add audio and simple transitions from our pictures. It was easy to modify the size of the video and to alter the duration of the video to balance the audio

Lastly, Picasa also provides very useful tools for finding and compressing duplicate and empty albums.

Picasa is perfect to organise your photo albums, to make your pictures first and to create fun projects such as videos and collages. Besides being free, Picasa’s beauty is detailed and open. It doesn’t provide many advanced configurations, but the edit is simple to use and can be fully tailored to users who want some versatility.

It has an intuitive interface which offers direct access to all of the application solutions. Less advanced consumers profit from the wide range of support incorporated into the app so their capabilities can be properly understood and used.
